How to Get Free Music for an Mp3 Player

Have you ever wanted a song on your mp3 player, but didn’t want to pay? Well read on and find out how to get it for free!
Steps
- Download Morpheus, LimeWire (It’s free if you get the ad paid versions). It’s very easy to use. Go to www.phonemusicunlimited.com, morpheus.com, limewire.com and download the free version. Download windows media player too. Go to Microsoft.com and find it there. Alternatively, you can use the open source eMule, which is also free. (Many ISPs, schools and businesses now block eMule and other file-sharing applications.)
- Once you have it downloaded, search for a song under the search tab. Type the name or group, and a list of songs by the group will come up. Double click on the song you want, and it will start downloading. When the download completes, it will appear under the library tab.
- Double click the song This will add it to a playlist under the player tab. You can add as many songs as you want at a time.
- Go to the playlist you just created and hit the save button. Save it in the folder that comes up, don’t change the folder. Save it, and then open windows media player.
- Go to file and hit open. Click on the playlist that you just created.
- Now you need a CD burner. Select all the songs by pressing ctrl+a, and right click. Now press copy to cd or device. Put a blank cd in and hit copy.
- Once you have all the songs copied to the cd, open itunes. Then add the songs into your playlist, and transfer them.
Without Downloading and Installing Software
- Go to Audiobook Search. (No software to download/install.)
- Enter the name of the song or artist you would like to find. Audiobook Search is not designed to find MP3s or music files, but works very well without installing any software. The authors of the page did not intend for the site to find MP3s and do not advertise the fact that it does.
Tips
- Limewire is free open source program that has the biggest selection of files out of all the p2p programs.
- Use your Virus Detecting Program to scan the files you download, they might have viruses in them.
- Some artist allow audio uploads of their shows and encourage distribution (Howie Day for example).
- Search for local and unsigned bands. They may have uploaded music to gain additional exposure. These are their by choice of the artist and are acceptable to download.
- Check to see if you are filtering out anything with copyrights that you shouldn’t download.
Warnings
- Downloading materials protected by copyright from Limewire may be (and most likely is) illegal! Be VERY careful with what you’re doing!
- You can get viruses from using P2P Programs like Limewire.
